Recipe Ingredients for Cindi's Lasagne

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped (or dry minced, 1 Tbsp.)
30 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
16 oz. pasta (10 lasagne sheets)
24 ozs. cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
2 cups shredded Mozzarella

Recipe Directions for Cindi's Lasagne

  1. Cook and stir beef and onion in a large saucepan until beef is light brown; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, salt and garlic powder. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer uncovered, 30 minutes. Cook noodles as directed.

  2. Mix cottage cheese, parmesan and parsley. Layer 1/2 each of noodles, sauce, mozzarella and cottage cheese mixture in ungreased 13x9-inch pan; repeat. Cover with foil and cook 40-50 minutes at 350F. Let stand at least 10 minutes before cutting.
