Recipe Ingredients for Cincy Chili base

1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup water
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon hot sauce

Recipe Directions for Cincy Chili base

Combine and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Add beans and meat of choice. Serve over spaghetti and top with cheese if desired.
