Recipe Ingredients for Cincinnati Chili

1 lb lean turkey ground
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp Splenda brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp ground pepper
15 1/2 oz dark red kidney beans
13 3/4 oz beef broth low sodium
10 oz can diiced tomatoes with green chiles
1 tbsp cider vinegar
6 oz dried Barilla Plus elbow macaroni
8 green onions

Recipe Directions for Cincinnati Chili

  1. Combine turkey, onion and garlic in nonstick pan and cook.

  2. Add chili powder, brown sugar, salt, cumin, allspice, cardamom and pepper. Stir until spices coat turkey and onions

  3. Stir in broth, tomatoes and chiles, vinegar and bring to boil. Reduce heat and partially cover and simmer until broth is thickened and flavors blend 30 - 40. minutes.

  4. Cook pasta and add beans and pasta and allow chili to thicken while beans and pasta are warmed.
