Recipe Ingredients for Chunky tomato sauce

2 tbs olive oil
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
28 oz plum tomatoes
2 tbs basil, fresh

Recipe Directions for Chunky tomato sauce

  1. Heat oil in medium skillet

  2. stir in onion

  3. saute over low heat until tender

  4. stir in garlic; saute 1 minute

  5. add tomatoes; cook over medium eat, stirring till boiling

  6. simmer sauce, uncovered, until slightly thickened, about 15 min.

  7. stir in basil, salt and pepper
