Recipe Ingredients for Chunky Marinara Sauce

1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 clove garlic, chopped
14 1/2 ounce can tomatoes, peeled and diced
8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Chunky Marinara Sauce

  1. In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; add tomatoes, onions, green bell peppers, garlic, white wine and salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Mix ingredients well; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve.

  3. Variations: Add bell pepper, fresh basil, splash of white wine, etc. to add more flavors

  4. Serve with pasta
