From Aug/Sept 2006 issue of Eating Well. One serving is a tablespoon, recipe makes about 1 1/3 cups. Can use fresh, or frozen (not thawed) blueberries.

Recipe Ingredients for Chunky Blueberry Sauce

2 cups blueberries
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Chunky Blueberry Sauce

  1. Stir together blueberries, honey, lemon zest, and juice in a medium saucepan.

  2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to maintain a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally until thickened (about 15 minutes)

  3. Let cool for 10 minutes

  4. Serve warm
