A lower fat version of Jewish chopped liver pate.

Recipe Ingredients for Chopped Liver Pate, Low Fat

1 pound chicken livers
1 cup onion
1 egg
2 dashes salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Chopped Liver Pate, Low Fat

  1. Rinse the chicken livers and remove any stringy tendons that are visible.

  2. Drop into simmering water and poach until just done. Do not over cook.

  3. Drain and cool, then finely chop

  4. Hard boil the egg, cool and chop fine

  5. Chop the onion very fine.

  6. Combine the ingredients gently until well mixed, seasoning to taste with salt & pepper
