Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Raspberry Streusel Bars

1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup butter
1 cup raspberry jam
1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Raspberry Streusel Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).

  2. Combine flour, oats, sugars and baking powder.

  3. Cut in butter (or margarine) until mixture is crumbly.

  4. Reserve one cup of crumble mixture for topping. Press the rest into the bottom of an ungreased 9" square baking pan.

  5. Bake for 10 minutes.

  6. Spread jam over crust then sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips followed by reserved crumble mix. Pat gently to settle topping.

  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Cool completely. Do not attempt to cut until chocolate has hardened. They're messy enough to cut as it is!
