County Fair Award Winning Soft and Creamy Chocholate Peanut Butter Fudge Total Time: Pouring in 20 minutes; Serving in 45-60 You'll Need: - 10"x14" baking dish or a fudge pan - 2-2.5 quart deep pot/pan - small glass or bowl you can drop boiling mixture into to see when it reaches the right thinkness. If you don't cook long or hard enough; it will likely not set. - 2-3"Hx7"Wx10"L container with lid. Candy tins work nicely. Once the Mixture reaches a boil, you'll have to stay with it until it is done. Once it comes off the heat it will begin to set; combine your three post-stovetop ingredients quickly and get it poured, and spread evenly in your pan to cool.

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Peanutbutter Fudge

3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cup Vitamin D Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 1/2 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup peanut butter

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Peanutbutter Fudge

  1. Butter a 10"x14" baking dish or a fudge pan.

  2. In a 2- quart pan combine the sugar, milk and cocoa.

  3. Bring this mixture to a rolling boil, stirring contantly.

  4. After about 5 minutes it will start to thicken. It's hard to explain when it is ready with words; however, it will set if you can form a soft ball from 1/4 teaspoon dropped in a small glass of cold water (be perpared to rinse and refill the glass a few times until you get a better feel for it).

  5. When it passes the water test remove from heat and stir in the Vanilla.

  6. Add and stir in the butter.

  7. Add and stir in completely the peanut butter.

  8. Pour into a shallow pan, spread evenly and allow to cool.

  9. After it cools, cut into approximately 60 pieces (6x10) and get it into a container with a lid, separeting each layer with foil or parchment paper.
