Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate-Peanut cake

400 grams Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
100 grams Almond Meal
250 grams Applesauce
5 tbsp Honey Squeezable
25 grams Yeast
100 grams 1% Partly Skimmed Milk
5 tbsp Cocoa, Dry Powder, Unsweetened
30 grams Cornstarch
1 Medium Apple Apples
60 g Peanut Butter
150 grams Water

Recipe Directions for Chocolate-Peanut cake

  1. Mix yeast, luke warm milk and luke warm water with 1 Tbsp honey until yeast is completely dissolved.

  2. Mix flour, almond meal and 2 Tbsp cocoa and mix with the yeast to a smooth batter and let sit covered with a damp kitchen towel in a warm place until dough has doubled in size. In the meantime mix applesauce, rest of the cocoa, rest of the honey, cornstarch, cinnamon, vanilla and a shot of rum in a bowl.

  3. When batter is ready, cut the apple into tiny pieces, pour the batter into a casserole (no need to butter), sprinkle the apple pieces on top, pour the applesauce mix on top and let everything sit covered in a warm place for 30 minutes. Heat your oven to 375F and bake the dough for about 10 minutes. Take aout the cake and spread the peanut butter on top. Cover the cake with parchment paper and continue to bake until you reached the desired consistency (20-25 minutes for a brownie style, 30-35 minutes for cakey style)
