There's chocolate, peanut butter, and raisins, all in these lowfat but still indulgent, yummy cookies. The orange extract really makes them unique, and makes them smell like Christmas!

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

1/4 cup Promise light
1/4 cup Skippy Natural peanut butter
1 tbsp honey
4 oz semisweet baking chocolate
1 egg
1 tsp orange extract
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
1/2 cup applesauce
102 grams Quaker lower sugar instant oatmeal (3 packets)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup Reese's peanut butter chips
1/3 cup Toll House mini morsels
1/2 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the Promise, peanut butter, and honey with a hand or standing mixer.

  3. Melt the chocolate in a separate bowl in the microwave, then add to the Promise and peanut butter. Mix thoroughly.

  4. When the mix is cooled enough, beat in the egg and orange extract.

  5. Add the yogurt and applesauce to the bowl and mix thoroughly.

  6. In a separate bowl, combine the oatmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices. Stir.

  7. Add the flour mix to the wet ingredients a little at a time, until both are thoroughly combined.

  8. Finally, stir in the peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, and raisins.

  9. Spoon the batter, about 1 heaping tsp per cookie, onto one or two nonstick baking sheets.

  10. Bake cookies for 11 to 13 minutes, or until a fork inserted in center comes out clean.

  11. Grab a glass of milk and have at it!
