Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Macaroon Ice Cream

225 g baking chocolate
3 egg yolks
3/4 cups sugar
2 cups milk
2 cups whipping cream
1 cup sweetened coconut

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Macaroon Ice Cream

  1. Mix eggs and sugar together until light yellow. Set aside.

  2. Heat milk and chocolate under medium-low heat until chocolate is melted. Do not boil.

  3. Temper egg mix with chocolate milk, and then add the rest of the milk.

  4. Chill overnight.

  5. Mix whipping cream into mixture, and add to ice cream maker. Follow manufacturer's instructions

  6. Five minutes before ice cream is finished, add coconut.

  7. Transfer to freezable container and freeze 1 hour before serving.
