Deliciously dense chocolate cupcakes that are not overly sweet. Perfect to pair with cream cheese frosting!

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Cupcakes

2 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
0.75 cup Sugars, Granulated
4 large Egg, Whole
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water
8 tbsp Cocoa, Dry Powder, Unsweetened, Processed
1 serving Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 cup Milk, Buttermilk, Fluid, Cultured, Lowfat

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Mix eggs and sugar.

  3. Heat water in bowl, add cocoa.

  4. Mix remaining dry ingredients in separate bowl.

  5. Add half dry ingredients to egg mixture. Mix.

  6. Stir in buttermilk.

  7. Add remaining dry ingredients.

  8. Stir in cocoa mix until just incorporated.

  9. Spoon into lined cupcake pan.

  10. Bake at 350F until poofy (I didn't time them, but I think about 15 min.).

  11. Makes ~ 36 regular-sized cupcakes.
