Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Cookies with Kisses

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
60 pieces Hershey Kisses

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Cookies with Kisses

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Refrigerate 15 min. or until dough is easy to handle.

  2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. I used parchment paper. Also a 2 tsp. scoop makes perfectly sized balls.

  3. Bake 8 min. or just until set (do not overbake). Let stand on baking sheet 1 min.; transfer to wire racks and cool completely.

  4. Jazz it up: Customize these drops with a variety of toppings. Right after they come out of the oven, press 1 of the following options onto each cookie (or mix it up and try a few): a Planters Walnut half, a Jet-Puffed Marshmallow half, with cut edge dipped in colored sugar; half of a Kraft Carmel; coarsely chopped candy canes (I used Hershey's Peppermit Kisses); a dizzle of melted Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate.

  5. CRH: Used the Hershey?s Peppermint Kisses and a 2 tsp. scoop ? I got over 5 dozen cookies out of this!
