Delicious muffins perfect for a little treat. for a lower calorie treat, use this recipe but make 24 smaller muffins, or even 48 mini-muffins.

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Cinnamon Muffins

8 oz plain white flour
2 oz cocoa powder
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
4 oz light brown sugar
5 1/2 oz chocolate chips
2 large eggs
9 fl oz milk
3 oz butter

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Cinnamon Muffins

  1. Directions

  2. Preheat oven to gas mark 6 and line a muffin tin with cases.

  3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon and salt into a large bowl. Stir in the sugar and chocolate chips.

  4. Melt the butter and briefly leave to cool.

  5. Lightly beat the eggs in a large bowl then beat with the milk and butter. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the beaten liquid ingredients. Don not over-mix.

  6. Spoon the mixture into the cases and bake in the pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes untill well risen and firm to touch.

  7. Leave the muffins in the tin for 5 minutes then serve warm or transfer to wire rack to cool.
