Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Scones

3 cups flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1/4 cup sugar, plus 1 tbsp for sprinkling
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup canola oil
1/2 cup soy milk
3/4 cup soy milk, (mixed with:)
2 tbsp cider vinegar
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 400, grease a cookie sheet. Put the vinegar and 3/4 cup soy milk together to curdle to milk.

  2. Sift all dry ingredients together. Mix in all the wet ingredients. Dough will be a little sticky and there may be flour lining the bowl. Fold in chocolate chips.

  3. Put dough on pan 1/4 cup at a time. Sprinkle with sugar on top (just a little). Bake for about 12-15mins or until golden brown.
