Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

3 1/2 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
4 eggs
16 oz pumpkin
1/2 tsp ginger, ground
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tsp nutmeg, ground
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup water

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Butter and flour two 9 X 5 loaf pans, or 3 smaller pans

  3. Blend sugar and oil

  4. Lightly beat eggs, add to oil and sugar

  5. Then add pumpkin

  6. Combine all dry ingredients

  7. Add 1 to 2 tblsp flour to chocolate chips, make sure they're coated

  8. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients in small amounts, alternate between dry ingredients and water until everything is combined

  9. Fold in chocolate chips

  10. Bake breads for 50 to 80 minutes (times vary so keep checking!)
