Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

2 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup peanut butter
2/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
2/3 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 370 Fahrenheit.

  2. Combine PB and apple sauce in food processor

  3. Beat sugars, margarine, vanilla, and applesauce/PB together in a large bowl till creamed. If too thin, add a bit of soymilk or a bit more margarine to achieve right consistency.

  4. Combine dry ingredients, except chips and peanuts, and beat in slowly. Mix well after each addition and scrape down.

  5. Stir in chocolate chips and peanuts.

  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a cookie sheet.

  7. Bake for about 10 or until light brown.

  8. Cool.

  9. Makes more than 3 dozen.
