This is a not-too-sweet just right chocolate muffin. The recipe makes 12-13 medium size muffins.

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Chocolate Muffins

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup chocolate chips
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
6 tablespoons canola oil

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Chocolate Muffins

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line muffin tin with paper liners.

  2. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Stir to combine. Add the sugar and chocolate chips and mix well.

  3. Lightly beat the eggs in another bowl. Add the milk and the oil and mix well. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.

  4. Spoon the batter into the paper liners and bake for about 15 minutes, until firm.

  5. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan to serve.
