Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cookies (Super Top Secret Recipe!)

2 1/4 cups flour
1/3 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, two sticks, softened
2 eggs, (extra-large or jumbo preferred, but if you don't have, just use 2 eggs and 1 egg white)
1 tsp vanilla, pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Cookies (Super Top Secret Recipe!)

  1. PREHEAT oven to 375 F.

  2. COMBINE flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs and egg white, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Scoop onto ungreased baking sheets using a cookie scoop or ice cream scoop.

  3. BAKE for 11 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

  4. * May be stored in refrigerator for up to 1 week or in freezer for up to 8 weeks.

  5. FOR HIGH ALTITUDE BAKING (5,200 feet or above): Increase flour to 2 1/2 cups. Add 2 teaspoons water with flour and reduce both granulated sugar and brown sugar to 2/3 cup each. Bake drop cookies for 10 to 14 minutes.
