Recipe Ingredients for chocolate chip cookies

1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 large egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract
15 ounce chickpeas
2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for chocolate chip cookies

  1. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees f. coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray

  2. in a large mixing bowl, beat sugar and butter until smooth. beat in egg whites and vanilla, then chickpeas and chocolate chips. add flour , oats, baking soda, and salt; mix on low speed until thick dough is formed.

  3. drop dough by tablespoonful onto baing sheet, spacing cooes about 2 inches apart. press gently with a fork to flatten. bake until cooies are golden brown and just set, 11 to 13 minutes; do not overbake.

  4. transfer to rack to cool.

  5. store in airtight container for up to 3 days.
