Basically the same recipe as found on the Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chips, but with a homier touch!

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cookies, Homemade

2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 sticks of butter
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup oatmeal

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Cookies, Homemade

  1. Make sure butter is at room temperature

  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  3. Put flour, baking soda, salt in one smaller bowl, mix together.

  4. In a larger bowl, mix the sugars, the vanilla extract, the eggs, and the butter together. To make mixing the butter easier, cut it into this slices with a knife as you put it in the bowl.

  5. Mix the ingredients in the sugar bowl well with a large fork.

  6. Slowly start adding the flour into the sugar bowl, in three or four times, mixing well in between.

  7. When it is all mixed, add the chocolate chips, and oatmeal (optional, but helps the cookies rise a bit)

  8. Prepare one or two separate pans by buttering them and covering with flour (even the non-stick ones! or they will come out different. Not badly, but different!)

  9. Take large teaspoon-size clumps of dough, and place in pan.

  10. Cook for 10-11 minutes.

  11. Leave cookies in pan for a few minutes before placing them on cooling rack.

  12. Enjoy!
