Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bars

6 tbsp Coconut Oil, Unrefined, Organic
4 tbsp Xylitol
2 tbsp Molasses, Blackstrap
1 large Egg, White
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
3 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Bananas
2 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
4 tbsp Coconut Unsweetened
0.33 cup Chocolate Chips Semi-Sweet
0.25 cup pieces or chips Walnuts, English

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease an 8x8 baking pan.

  2. With an electric mixer, cream butter or coconut oil and sugar, if using. Add egg and beat until well mixed. Add mashed banana and salt and stir until incorporated. Stir in oatmeal, walnuts, shredded coconut and chocolate chips and stir until combined.

  3. Spread batter in prepared pan and bake 30-40 minutes or until firm and light golden brown. Let cool in pan and cut into squares.
