moist banana bread, not terribly low calorie but extremely delicious.

Recipe Ingredients for chocolate chip banana bundt

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 bananas)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for chocolate chip banana bundt

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cream shortening and add sugar gradually.

  3. Then add the well beaten eggs.

  4. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  5. Add this alternately with milk and bananas. Then add vanilla and then chocolate chips and stir well.

  6. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before depanning.
