Ooey gooey chocolate caramel yummy!

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Caramel Nut Bars

14 oz caramels
5 fl oz evaporated milk
1 package+18.25+oz German Chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Caramel Nut Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. In medium saucepan, melt caramels with 1/3 cup evap milk over low heat, stirring until smooth, then set aside.

  3. In large bowl, mix together remaining milk, cake mix and butter.

  4. Press half of cake mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13x9 baking pan and bake 8 minutes.

  5. Sprinkle chocolate pieces and 1 cup pecans over crust.

  6. Top with caramel mixture, spreading to edges of pan.

  7. Top with teaspoonfuls of remaining cake mixture.

  8. Press gently into caramel mixture.

  9. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.

  10. Bake 16 to 18 minutes.
