Unusual recipe with beetroot. very low in fat and sugar free.

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate cake

75 g cocoa powder
3 medium eggs
10 tbsp Splenda no calorie
2 tbsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp honey
100 g soya flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt
75 g ground almonds
250 g raw beetroot
30 ml canola oil
100 ml soya milk

Recipe Directions for Chocolate cake

  1. Grate the beetroot. Mix the dry ingredients add the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add the beetroot and pour the batter in a greased, lined cake tin.

  2. Bake at 160 Celsius for 1 hour

  3. Add icing according to your taste and serve.
