Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Cake and Frosting- healthier

1 cup cake flour
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 cup sugar
3/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 egg
15 ounces pumpkin puree
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup honey
3/4 cup powdered sugar
4 tsp fat free milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Cake and Frosting- healthier

  1. mix dry ingredients in blender ( 1st 5)

  2. add in and stir to blend egg, pumpkin, honey and vanilla

  3. beat for 2 minutes on high.

  4. Spread in 13x 9 x 2 pan greased with Pam spray.

  5. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350.

  6. To make frosting blend the last 4 ingredients together, should be a nice frosting cosistency.

  7. Once cake is cooled, frost and cup into 12 pieces.
