Rich choc brownies with a spicy cinnamon kick.

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Brownies with Cinnamon and Cashews

75 g light margarine
1/2 cup baking cocoa
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup cashews

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Brownies with Cinnamon and Cashews

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celcius. Line base of a square cake tin with non stick baking paper

  2. Melt butter in a large bowl and stir in baking cocoa until mixture has a thick, fudge like consistency.

  3. Add in eggs, brown sugar, ground cinnamon and vanilla essence

  4. and mix until combined.

  5. Sift flour and baking powder together then add into chocolate mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed.

  6. Stir through cashews and chocolate chips

  7. Pour mixture into lined tin and bake in oven for 45 minutes. Cut into sixteen bars when cold.
