Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Banana Nut Bread

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
4 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup honey
8 oz. banana, pureed
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole milk
1 cup dry roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups rolled oats

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Banana Nut Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine banana puree, honey, eggs, vanilla and brown sugar. Mix well.

  4. Add wet mixture to dry mixture. Stir until combined. Add milk. Stur until smooth. While stirring, sprinkle in raisins, peanuts, oats and rice cereal.

  5. Spread mixture into bottom of a 9 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 oven for 20- 25 minutes.
