A marble cake of sorts, made from banana and chocolate

Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate and Banana Bread

250 grams Rich Dark Plain Chocolate
1 pinch Ground Ginger Spice
200 grams Margarine, Regular, Hard
2 large (8" to 8-7/8" long) Bananas
175 grams Sugars, Granulated
3 Jumbo Egg, Whole
8 oz Flour

Recipe Directions for Chocolate and Banana Bread

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 centigrade. Grease a 2lb loaf tin.

  2. Put 7 oz of the chocolate in a heatproof bowl with the ginger and 1oz of the margerine. Place over a bowl of simmering water until melted.

  3. Meanwhile, mash the bananas.

  4. Put the rest of the butter into a bowl with the sugar and beat until creamy. Add the eggs, banana, flour and baking powder and beat together until smooth.

  5. Spread a quarter of the mixture into the tin, spoon on a third of the chocolate, repeat so you get a layered effect.

  6. Chop the rest of the chocolate and sprinkle on top.

  7. Bake in the oven for an hour (or until it seems done =D Use your common sense!)
