Recipe Ingredients for Chocolate Almond Energy Bar

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup brown sugar (try honey)
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/3 cup canola oil
2 tsps vanilla extract
3 1/3 cups rolled oats, ground in food processer
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Chocolate Almond Energy Bar

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, stir together the nut butter, margarine, sugar, syrup, and vanilla until smooth.

  3. Add all the other ingredients. Mix well.

  4. Press the mixture into 13 x 9 inch greased pan.

  5. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.

  6. Let cool on wire rack.

  7. Cut into bars.
