Beef chili with a spicy twist. I prepare the night before. And I use canned black beans, corn and tomatoes (but you can fresh...if you use fresh, prepare them the night before as well).

Recipe Ingredients for Chipotle Chili

1 lb ground beef
2 cups black beans
2 cups diced tomatoes
1 cup corn
1/4 cup jalapenos
4 chipotle peppers
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp liquid smoke
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced

Recipe Directions for Chipotle Chili

  1. The night before:

  2. Brown beef, put in container (by itself)

  3. Chop up onion and bell pepper, put in container together.

  4. Chop jalepanos and chipotle chili peppers, put in container.

  5. In the same container as the jalepanos and chipotle chili peppers, add the chili powder, garlic salt and liquid smoke.

  6. Put the beef, onions & bell peppers, and spicy pepper mixture in the fridge.

  7. In the morning:

  8. Add all ingredients from the containers to the crock pot.

  9. Add the canned goods to the crock pot (black beans, corn and tomatoes).

  10. Cook on low for 9 hours.
