Recipe Ingredients for Chipotle-Black Bean Chili

1 tsp olive oil
1 cup finely chopped onion
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbs chili powder
1 tsp chipotle chile in adobo sauce, minced and drained
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp salt
30 oz canned black beans, drained
29 oz no-salt whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
4 1/2 oz green chiles, drained and chopped
2 tsp flour

Recipe Directions for Chipotle-Black Bean Chili

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add onion and garlic; saute 3 minutes or until tender.

  3. Add chili powder and next 6 ingredients (chili powder through green chiles); bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes.
