Recipe Ingredients for Chino Beef with Asparigus

100 gram sirloin steak
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon of corn starch
3 tablespoons of garlic, minced
200 gram fresh mushrooms, stems removed and sliced
100 gram asparagus, trimmed and sliced
2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 cup water
100 gram rice

Recipe Directions for Chino Beef with Asparigus

  1. # Trim excess fat and gristle from flank steak and thinly slice against the grain.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine 4 tablespoons soy sauce, rice wine, corn starch and 2 1/2 tablespoons of garlic.

  3. Add beef and toss to coat with marinade.

  4. Heat 1 teaspoon oil high heat. Add flank steak and stir-fry until just browned, but still medium rare. Remove immediately and set aside.

  5. Add 1 teaspoon of oil to the garlic, Stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  6. Add mushrooms and sauté until soft, 3-4 minutes.

  7. Add asparagus and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Asparagus should still be crisp.

  8. Mix in soy sauce to mushroom/asparagus mixture. Stir in stock, Add the beef and toss gently in the sauce.

  9. Adjust seasonings to taste and additional slurry of corn starch to the sauce if necessary. Serve over rice.
