A lighter take on general tso's chicken with fried rice

Recipe Ingredients for Chinese Food

2 cups cooked white rice
1 cup fried chicken chunks (chinese style)
1/4 cup teriyaki or general tso sauce
1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
1 tbsp. soy sauce

Recipe Directions for Chinese Food

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions (I start with 1 cup dry rice).

  2. Stir in frozen veggies to rice while still warm, may need to heat through to get the veggies warmed but not mushy.

  3. Pour soy sauce on rice/veggie mixture, toss together

  4. Warm the chicken if it is precooked, otherwise cook it and then coat with sauce.

  5. Serve together.
