Recipe Ingredients for Chinese Chickenless Salad

3 tbsp. brown rice vinegar
1 tbsp. sesame oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted
1/2 english cucumber, chopped
1/2 cup edamame
3 cups broccoli slaw
2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
1 cup spinach leaves, chopped
6 1/2 oz. whole wheat spaghetti (1/2 of a box)

Recipe Directions for Chinese Chickenless Salad

  1. dressing:

  2. mix the first 5 ingredients together in the blender

  3. toast the almonds, set asside to cool

  4. toast the sesame seeds, set asside to cool

  5. break the noodles in half, and add to a pot of salted, boiling water. prepare the pasta as directed. drain, rinse with cold water and set asside to cool

  6. mix all ingredients together in a large bowl

  7. toss with salad dressing

  8. top with toasted nuts
