Recipe Ingredients for Chinese Broccoli with Chicken & Tofu

6 tbsp peanut oil
2 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp ginger
2 scallion, chopped
1 cup cooking sherry
4 broccoli stalks
1/2 lb tofu, cut into slices 1/2 inch by 2 inch
1 tbsp bean sprout
4 tbsp soy sauce
1 chicken breast, cut into slices 1/2 inch by 2 inches

Recipe Directions for Chinese Broccoli with Chicken & Tofu

  1. Heat oil in walk. Add garlic, ginger, scallion, saute for about 3 mins

  2. Add sherry and half of broccoli, arrange tofu on top of broccoli. Cover and turn heat to low. Steam broccoli and tofu about 10 mins

  3. Stir in bean sprouts and 1 tbsp soy sauce

  4. Use slotted spoon to remove broccoli, tofu and bean sprouts from the wok, and place them on warm platter. Pour half the pan liquid over them and cover. Set aside while cooking chicken.

  5. place rest of broccoli and chicken in same wok with remaining pan liquid. Stir fry about 5 mins, until chicken is cooked through. Add remaining soy sauce.
