This is soooooooo yummy with pasta and grated parmesan cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Chilli non carne

1 tablespoon olive oil, light and mild
5 ounces (141.75g) soya mince
300 ml boiling water
0.18 oz (5g) bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
400 grams canned tomatoes, chopped
1 tablespoon tomato puree
8 ounces cooked red kidney beans
1 teaspoon mixed herbs
1/4 ounce bay leaf
1/2 pint boiling water
0.18 oz (5g) bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1 tablespoon cocoa
2 ounces celery, chopped
3 ounces carrots, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 salt and pepper, season to taste

Recipe Directions for Chilli non carne

  1. Rehydrate the mince with the 300ml stock and set aside.

  2. Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry off the onion until soft, now add the cumin cocoa and cayenne and fry gentle, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.

  3. Add the garlic, tomato puree, tomatoes with juice, celery, carrots and soya mince, stir in well and then add the herbs and bayleaf and season with the salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Add the other stock and bring back to temperature, mix well and cook for 20 minutes, now add the kidney beans and cook for 10 minutes, adjusting seasoning if needed and serve with pasta rice or potato wedges.
