Serve with flat bread & low fat yoghurt

Recipe Ingredients for Chilli Beans

1/2 tsp oil
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
400 grams tomatoes
75 grams raw kidney beans, cooked (1 tin ready-cooked)

Recipe Directions for Chilli Beans

  1. Spray pan with oil

  2. Add onions, cook a few minutes.

  3. Add garlic, cook an extra minute or so

  4. Add spices, cook an extra couple of minutes

  5. Add tomatoes & beans (use tinned - the counter kept adding the raw counts, so ignore the amount stated & just use 1 tin - the calories are right for that amount).

  6. Cook for 1/2 hour on low heat.

  7. Mash up some of the beans in the mix - this will make the sauce thick.

  8. Serve...
