Recipe Ingredients for chilled polenta "bread"

1 cup polenta
4 cups water
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1 tbsp olive oil
6 cloves garlic
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp basil
1/8 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup mushrooms

Recipe Directions for chilled polenta "bread"

  1. in a frying pan, cook mushrooms and garlic for a few minutes. set aside

  2. bring water to boil

  3. add polenta and stir while cooking for 5 minutes

  4. when thickened, stir in rest of ingredients (mushrooms, garlic, sunflower seeds, spices, oil)

  5. pour into greased pan and spread to desired thickness

  6. allow to set in fridge for at least 2 hours
