Chili Sauce Recipe

This is slow cooked to deepen flavours Serve with rice or on baked potato with mixed salad

Recipe Ingredients for Chili sauce

225 g minced beef
90 g onion
2 cloves garlic
20 g chili pepper
120 g peppers
130 g courgettes
60 g celery
90 g carrots
400 g tinned tomatoes
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 teaspoon chili powder

Recipe Directions for Chili sauce

  1. Saute onions in a little oil

  2. add garlic & continue to saute

  3. add other vegetables and soften a little

  4. transfer all to slow cooker

  5. brown beef in rest of oil

  6. remove any excess fat that cooks off

  7. transfer beef to slow cooker and stir in with vegetables

  8. stir in can of chopped tomatoes

  9. season as necessary

  10. cook on medium heat for three hours

  11. serve with rice or on baked potato with mixed salad
