Nice a warm on a cold winter's day

Recipe Ingredients for Chili

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup red bell peppers, diced
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
798 ml diced tomatoes, canned
398 ml red kidney beans, canned
430 ml salsa
1/2 tsp chili powder

Recipe Directions for Chili

  1. Fry lean ground beef in a non-stick frying pan.

  2. While this is cooking, dice up the onion, peppers, and mushrooms.

  3. Sauté these in a dutch oven (very large pot).

  4. Once onions are translucent, add 1 can of diced tomatoes, red kidney beans and salsa.

  5. Add beef once it is done.

  6. Add chili powder (you can also add 1/2 tsp of cumin and a dash of cayenne pepper if you like chili with a kick).

  7. Stir and let simmer for an hour.

  8. Have two cups of salad with 1 tbsp dressing on the side.
