Makes 16 servings



A warm pot of chili for a cold, winter day. Onion and garlic free.

Recipe Ingredients for Chili

1 lb ground beef
28 oz crushed tomatoes
12 oz tomato paste
15 oz corn, drained
2 1/2 oz carrots, pureed (baby food)
2 green peppers
1 tbsp chili pepper
1 tbsp cocoa powder
31 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 cup water
1 tbsp hot sauce

Recipe Directions for Chili

  1. Brown beef. (Recipe can be made vegetarian by substituting crumbles.)

  2. Finely process green peppers. Puree one can of beans

  3. Combine all ingredients in a large crock pot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

  4. I serve with shredded cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.
