Crock pot chili (Slow Cooker p. 60)

Recipe Ingredients for Chili

2 pounds ground chicken
1 medium onion
1/2 green pepper
1 minced garlic clove
18 ounces tomato sauce
3 ounces tomato paste
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
16 ounces light red kidney beans
22 ounces diced tomatoes
1/4 cup chili powder

Recipe Directions for Chili

  1. cook meat until not longer pink

  2. place meat in 6 quart slow cooker; stir in onion and the rest of the ingredients

  3. cover and cook on high 5-6 hours or on low for 7-8 hours

  4. serve with desired toppings
