Vegeterian chili minus kidney beans and black beans add 1/4 cup kidney beans and 1/4 cup black beans to recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Chili

1/4 green bell pepper
1/4 small onion
1/2 medium tomato
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup firm tofu
1/4 tsp chili powder
1 garlic clove

Recipe Directions for Chili

  1. Drain tofu and chop into bite-sized cubes, set aside.

  2. Rinse and chop tomato, pepper, onion and garlic. Set aside.

  3. Heat pan to medium.

  4. Saute garlic and onion till golden. (2-3 min).

  5. Add tomato pepper and cook for 3-4 min, stir occasionally

  6. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, tofu and chili powder - bring to a slow boil, reduce heat and cover.

  7. Simmer for 20-25 minutes and Serve.
