Spicy chili with lots of flavor....the salt can be reduced and it would still be plenty flavorful.

Recipe Ingredients for Chili

2 tsp olive oil
1 1/2 cups chopped white onions
1/2 cup green peppers
2 tbsp chopped garlic
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef (93/7)
3 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp cumin
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp pepper
28 oz. crushed tomatoes
14 oz red kidney beans
28 oz pinto beans
2 tsp chopped jalapeno (optional)

Recipe Directions for Chili

  1. Brown onions, garlic and green peppers in olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Next add spices and ground beef.

  3. Break up beef and brown well.

  4. Add crushed tomatoes and beans.

  5. Simmer over medium to low heat for 15-20 minutes.

  6. Add jalapenos toward end of cooking and simmer for 10 mins more.

  7. Goes well with brown rice.
