A wonderful savory chili. A serving equals 2 cups.

Recipe Ingredients for Chili

16 ounces 90% lean ground beef
2/3 tsp garlic powder
6 stalks celery, chopped
3 large onions, chopped
28 ounces can diced tomatoes
44 ounces tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
1 tsp pepper
6 tsp chili powder
1 green pepper, chopped
2 tsp oregano
4 tbsp sugar
62 ounces canned light red kidney beans

Recipe Directions for Chili

  1. Need large pot. Brown hamburger, drain. Add garlic, celery and onion and saute for 10 minutes. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

  2. Stir often to keep from sticking.

  3. Freezes great.
