Recipe Ingredients for chili-mac skillet

8 oz ground turkey
1/2 cup chopped onion
8 oz tomato sauce
15 oz tomato puree
1 cup dried elbow macaroni
1/2 cup chopped green sweet pepper
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for chili-mac skillet

  1. in a large skillet cook ground turkey and onion over medium high heat until meat is nolonger pink. drain off fat. stir in tomato sauce, tomato puree, uncooked macaroni, sweet pepper,water, chili powder, garlic powder and salt. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, covered about 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring often.

  2. Remove skillet from heat; sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand about 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
