1.25 lbs ground turkey - 93% lean Kroger small red beans dried - 2 cups Cooked in slow cooker

Recipe Directions for Chili - Ground Turkey & dried beans

  1. 1.25 lbs. ground turkey

  2. 2 cups dried beans

  3. 2 cups chopped onion

  4. 5 small cloves garlic, diced or mashed

  5. 3 Tbs. chili powder

  6. 1 tsp. salt

  7. 1 Tbs. paprika

  8. 1 tsp oregano

  9. 1 tsp ground oregano

  10. 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  11. 3 cups chicken broth or water

  12. 1 28-oz. can diced tomatoes

  13. soak beans overnight in 8 cups water. Drain.

  14. Cook turkey in skillet, separating in small pieces.

  15. Combine beans, turkey and all other ingredients into slow cooker. Cook until beans are desired tenderness.

  16. Makes 12 1-cup servings
