Recipe Ingredients for Chili Con Carne

1.21 kg ground beef
350 ml mushrooms, sliced
540 ml black beans
540 ml kidney beans
4 onions, chopped
398 ml diced tomatoes
796 ml crushed tomatoes
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp chili powder

Recipe Directions for Chili Con Carne

  1. Brown beef and pour off all fat.

  2. Chop onions coarsely and add to drained beef.

  3. Add all other ingredients. Salt and chili are only to start with; more salt may be needed; but do to taste.

  4. Cook on stovetop approx 1.5 hours.
